Alhambra Kashana #8 Mexican Tile
This Alhambra Talavera tile is hand-painted in beautiful pattern using the technique cuerda seca. This tile can be used as a border or to decorate a whole wall. The second picture shows it in a mirrored pattern, which can be used as a border in a big wall installation. The technique used to create this tile is the same used in the famous Malibu Tile, which is a raised tile. Alhambra tile takes its name and its design inspiration from the arabesque motifs found in the palatial home of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain. The tile is hand-painted, there might be small differences in size, weight and color. Being hand-painted, this means that no two tiles are exactly alike! There might be small differences in size, weight and even the colors. Color changes are particularly notorious from lot to lot, because of the natural variations in glaze and the mixtures used in their creation. If you are really concerned about color variation, we recommend you to order the whole project at once. The alhambra tile is a thicker tile that we recommend to use with the same alhambra series.
