Day of the Dead Tile Wrought Iron Frame Holder

A wrought iron frame made by Mexican craftsmen. The inside dimensions (the maximum tile size that fits) are: 6" wide by 6" top to bottom. It will hold one tile 6"x6". This is a hand-made product and small imperfections are to be expected. This is a simple handmade artistic frame, but carefully designed to enhance our day-of-the-dead tiles, but it will hold any other 6"x6" tile.
Jose Guadalupe Posadas (1852 – 1913) a Mexican lithographer from the 18th century popularized the skeleton cartoons which later on transformed into lithographs. The main purpose of his work was political. The Catrina is a satirization of the upper class women during the 19th century, during Porfirio Diaz reign. Later on, his work was associated with the Mexican holiday "Dia De Los Muertos" or "Day of the dead".
